Ukraine CPI adds 0.2% in November

Макроэкономика 09.12.2013 Ukraine’s consumer prices increased 0.2% m/m (+0.2% yoy) in November, according to state statistics released on December 6. Food price growth (+0.2% m/m) was the factor, while healthcare (+0.2% m/m) and education (+0.1% m/m) prices also demonstrated growth. At the same time, transportation (-0.2% m/m) and utility (-0.1% m/m) tariffs declined through the month. Alexander Paraschiy: Increased prices for dairy products were the main reason behind the food price hike. Though November CPI was somewhat higher than our estimates, it does not change our view on prices prospects. We do not expect CPI to speed up for the next six months and project -0.3% yoy in 2013.
