Обзоры рынка 16.05.2013 Some Ukrainian equities began finally gaining from the global stock market surge at the Wednesday, May 15 session. The WIG Ukraine Index of Warsaw-traded stocks rose 2.2%, led by a sharp bounce in the shares of farmer and food-producer Agroton (AGT PW +12.2%), which had fallen 21.1% during the previous seven sessions. Other leading gainers were the shares of food producer Kernel (KER PW +3.7%) and sugar producer Astarta (AST PW +3.1%). Milkiland (MLK PW) plunged 5.4% after reporting plummeting year-over-year earnings in the first quarter. The shares of mining firm Sadovaya (SGR PW) slid 3.7% after reporting a net loss in the first quarter. In London, the shares of mining firm Ferrexpo (FXPO LN -2.4%) have lost 6.4% in four straight declining sessions. In Kyiv, the Ukrainian Exchange Index fell 0.5%, dragged down by Raiffeisen Bank Aval (BAVL UK -1.7%), which has lost 3.0% in three sessions.
