Ukraine, Russia to resume cooperation in Antonov plane projects

Обзоры по компаниям и отраслям 16.10.2013 The prime ministers of the Russian Federation and Ukraine agreed on October 15 to resume cooperation in producing the world's largest cargo plane, the An-124, built by Ukraine's Antonov firm. The joint project will start soon, according to Russian PM Dmitry Medvedev, as quoted by the Interfax news agency. On top of that, the parties planned to complete tests of the new An-70 cargo plane by the end of January 2014, Interfax reported, citing a member of the Ukrainian delegation. Alexander Paraschiy: The reincarnation of the An-124 and An-70 projects will be beneficial for Motor Sich (MSICH UK), the supplier of engines for both planes. Since both projects were suspended and postponed for decades, we look skeptically at their restart happening soon, yet the statements from the government delegations look encouraging.
